Drugstore Beauty Haul!

Hello there my lovelies, long time no post right? Well I’m back and today I have a lovely haul for you all because these are my favourite posts to write and fave videos to watch on YouTube! I popped into Superdrug last week and picked up almost a full face of new products that I haven’t tried before! However my heart sunk when I got to the till thinking I don’t spent £50 and the cashier said £90. But at least if got plenty to blog about!!

First up I’ll do all the bits from Makeup Revolution because they’re the majority of this haul. I’ve been such a big fan of their products for so long now, at least 3 years! It’s so nice to watch them improve and grow, I have enough of their products to have my own pop up shop!

So I picked up the Revolution Pro full cover camouflage foundation in the shade F2, I’ve been keen to try this for a while now. I usually use the L’Oreal true match foundation but I found it quite drying and it tends to oxidise to a shade that’s not really my colour. I also picked up the Revolution Pro pressed powder, again I’ve been dying to try it out, I have a loose setting powder at the moment but I feel like the pressed powders are more travel friendly and convenient. Next i have the Revolution Pro Lip scrub, I love lip scrubs and I’m keen to see how this one works! I picked up the Makeup Revolution Ultra Pro HD Powder Contour kit, I was looking to get one because I’ve been using the Nip&Fab one but I find the colours a little to warm for my pale face. I got the Revolution Pro Illuminate which is a stunning highlight, I used it today and I’m in love!! I then picked up The Revolution Pro lipstick collection in The Matte Noire collection. I have to say I swatched these after I got home and the formula was not what I was hoping , which is unusual because their single lipsticks and liquid lipsticks are actually really good! I picked up the Revolution Pro Hydrating Primer and you guys, I was SO happy to see this because I have such dry skin and most primers don’t really tend to do anything and my foundation sticks to my dry patches but I’m really hoping this improves that! The last two things from Makeup Rev. Are the brow pomade in Blonde, and the duo brow definer because ive been trying to find different ways of doing my brows as I was getting annoyed with my brow powder. So that was the Makeup Rev. side of things now onto the rest.

I then picked up a new bronzer and blush from MUA which I can’t wait to try the next time I do my full face!

Skincare and nails

I also decided I needed to expand my skincare range as I don’t tend to look after my face too much after taking makeup off etc. I found some bits that I’m praying do my skin some good. So I found these cleansing pads from the Vitamin C range in Superdrug and they’re actually really good! They smell amazing and feel really refreshing on the eyes and they’re much better for you skin than baby wipes. I recommend!! Then I discovered the Calm Skin range and HAD to try some bits so I picked up the Soothing Facial Cleanser, Refreshing Mist and the 2 in 1 serum and moisturiser. I haven’t tried them yet but I will be soon so if you’d like a review then comment below! Of course I had to pick up some sheet masks, I got the Garnier Moisture bomb mask and the Moisture Bomb Eye sheet mask which looks like a superhero’s mask (lowkey the reason I picked it up). I’ve tried the full face sheet mask before so I know it’s really good already but I’m hoping the eye one does wonders as most of my dry patches are on and around my eyes. And finally I picked up and new Barry M nail varnish in the shade “Black Cherry” (I think) because i felt like I needed a new colour.

So that’s my Superdrug haul I’ll be purchasing some bits on Friday so if you’d like another haul then let me know! If you’d like any reviews, tips or swatches for any of the products above then please feel free to comment below! I’d love to hear from you😌

Sincerely, S x

Marc Jacobs Beauty X John Lewis Un-boxing and Review

Hey guys! Hope you’re all doing well and having a good start to the year. This post is very exciting to me because its a review on the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eyeliners. I was SO excited when i found out i was going to be receiving these in the post it was like Christmas all over again!

Marc Jacobs Highliners retail and £20 each but honestly i think they’re so worth it. There’s 12 shades all together, all amazing looking shades. I received the colours ‘Earthquake’ and ‘Pink of Me’ and both are so pigmented, Earthquake is slightly more pigmented as you can expect from the darker of the shades but both are still very pigmented. I am honestly in LOVE with these eyeliners, the formula is so creamy, they just glide on and they’re so long wearing once they set. You could literally cry all day and walk through a rainstorm and they wouldn’t budge and add such a nice pop off colour to your looks.

The only downside to these is that they’re twist up pencils so you cant really sharpen them, meaning that it’s harder to produce more precise looks like winged eyeliner when the tip becomes less pointed. Other than that pointer, these guys are flawless in my eyes and i am so so grateful and happy i got to try them out.

*Disclosure, I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes*

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and I’ll be back again soon!

Ebay finds!

Hello everybody!

I haven’t done a beauty post for a while so i thought i’d do one today and since i purchase two items recently i thought it would be the perfect chance to do a post.

I’ve seen a lot of ebay find videos on youtube and they were quite popular, hopefully you guys enjoy my blog post! I purchased an eye shadow palette and four eye make up brushes, both of the products i am very pleased with. Anyways let’s get talking about them!

Okay, so the first item was this amazing 120 colour eye shadow palette. Now, unfortunately the postman did not read the fragile sign on the parcel and literally chucked the parcel through the letter box making two colours smash 😦 but i fixed them! I got the more neutral toned palette but you can get another, very vibrant version full of all the colours in the rainbow if you wish! This one was only £5.00 which i thought was amazing for the amount of colours you get, the quality is amazing too! All the colours are very pigmented and there’s both matte and shimmery colours! I’m really looking forward to see what looks i can create with this one!

The other item i got was these beautiful rose gold eye brushes, with white and pink hair. I am in love with these brushes, i love rose gold things and these brushes are just so pretty! And for the cheap price of £1.58 too! i was amazed! They feel good quality too, they’re soft but not too soft, the small one are a bit tougher which is exactly how you’d expect them to be. I really can’t wait to use these to create some pretty eye looks.

Hope you guys enjoyed my post, if you want the links comment below and i will send them too you and if you know of any good ebay bargains on make up then feel free to comment the links to me! I’m looking for a set of matte liquid lipsticks next!

Product Review:Flawless Palette by Make up Revolution

Hey guys! Happy Monday! Hope you’re all doing well and if your win school/college I hope you’re coping with exams well! 🙂

So here it is, my review post on the Flawless palette by Make Up revolution!

I got this for Valentine’s Day from my boyfriend and oh my goodness I’ve not stopped using  it! It’s so pigmented and varies from light colours to dark shadowy colours so you create some amazing looks! There’s also a very shimmery shade 4 in on the top row from the left, it’s the most pigmented, it could be used as an eye highlighter honestly it’s gorgeous! My favourites for when I got it were the coppery colours but now I like the golds and shimmery Browns!

I would definitely recommend this product and it’s affordable too! At only £8 I think! You can buy it from ether super drug or here … Make Up Revolution

The only problem I would say is that the formula for some of them is a little creamier I tho k because my copper shade doesn’t crumble when I use it, it just goes shiny and smooth and doesn’t go onto the brush well…not really sure why! Also some of the colours need to be tested before use because they come out a lot darker than they look, but other than these minors I would say it’s a very practical and affordable product!

Thank you for reading, I hope it’s given enough research for you!

Product Review: Garnier Cleasning Water

10169115

Hello everybody! It’s me again, i thought this week i would do a product review, exciting huh? So basically i’m constantly using wipes to remove my makeup (gasp!) and it makes my skin really sore after a while, I went into superdrug a few days ago and picked up the Garnier Cleansing Water. Now it’s my holy grail of cleansers, it’s so easy to use, all you need to do is put a little bit on a cotton pad and wipe away and voila! No rinsing under water. The best part i found was that the make up comes of so easily so you don’t need to scrub until your face is red raw, it also hasn’t affected my skin in any negative ways either! No breakouts, no sensitivity, nothing! How brilliant is that? If you have dry skin they have another one for that too!

Honestly I would suggest this product to anyone, it’s a real must have! Check it out for yourselves! 🙂

Make Up Revolution Mini Haul!

Hello! My package from Make Up Revolution finally arrived, yay! I’m so excited to do this post and share the lovely things a got! I didn’t do swatches for these because some of them were gifts but if happy to do some at a later date!

Okay, so i ordered the Make Up revolution Ultra Professional Collection 2016, this was £10 for 12 items and i have to say i am very happy with it!Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 preset

The first thing I took out was my three black and rose gold brushes, two for eye make up and one for the face. The eye ones are E101 and E103 and the face brush is F105, i love them so much they’re so soft and i can’t wait to use them.Processed with VSCOcam with a5 preset

I then pulled out the palette, it doesn’t have a specific name but it has so great shimmer colours, from the brown sort of smokey colours to the vibrant colours you can probably find in the unicorn or mermaid palette. Theyre all very pigmented. i’m excited to play with these!

(sorry for the reflection in the image)

The face products that came with the collection was the ultra pro highlighter and a small contouring palette. The highlighter is gorgeous, would be such a nice product to work with, and the palette has a bronzer, blusher and small highlighter. I believe the one i got was for fair to medium skin tone!

I was very excited when i realised the other two eye products were a liquid eyeliner and a focus and fix eye primer. I’ve wanted to have an eye primer to see how it would help my eyeshadow looks and this one works quite well, i’ll have to let you know properly at another time because i’ve only tested on swatches! The eyeliner was a plus because, lets face it..a girl can never have too many eyeliners.

Finally from this collection, the lip products! I got two lip glosses, one sort of hot pink colour and and more sheer nude pink colour, both very glossy but not sticky! I then also got two lipsticks, a gorgeous read and a nude shade. I would give you the names but it appears they don’t have any. I must also add that they smell soooo good, they smell like sweets almost..i’m not really sure what but they smell good!

I did order some extra bits (only 2) the first is my favourite actually, its the liquid lacquer from the salvation velvet collection, in the colour black heart. It’s like a deep purple and it look soo nice! I also love the packaging because it’s different from all the other bits! I also got an eye dust, in the colour Antic. Let me tell you that this is so pigmented and gorgeous, it’s a sort of dark grey, with light grey and purple tints in it, must try it!

So this was my Makeup Revolution Mini Haul, i hope you guys enjoyed it, i’d recommend this brand to anyone, it’s super affordable and most of their products and such good quality (can’t say all because i haven’t tried them all!).

I also hope you like the header, I’ve started using a website/app that allows me to make them so each post should have one and hopefully look better!

Sincerely, S x

My Christmas haul 2015

Hello everybody! I hope you’ve all had a good Christmas an are excited for the new year! I thought i’d share a few bits that i got for christmas and love, in a mini christmas haul!

Before i start i just want to make it clear that this is not me trying to brag in any way i just thought i’d do a post showing some of my beauty bits i got as a few people requested it, i do not want to offend anyone!

So first of all I got two Make Up Revolution pallets that i wanted really bad! I got the Give Them Nightmares one and the Smokey one, i haven’t got swatches of them but if you want me to do a swatches and review post the comment below or like! But from what I’ve tried all the colours are very pigmented! Make Up Revolution is a perfect brand for affordable high quality products, definitely worth a look!

As you can probably tell, in the Give Them Night Mares One (above and top right) there are 12 shimmery colours and 6 matte colours, I think this is perfect because it allows you to create some really nice looks! 🙂

I then got some tinted lip glosses from a brand i’ve never heard of but it’s a like a cheaper brand but it still has good quality…if that makes any sense!

The colours very from red to light pink which are quite nice, they’re quite pigmented in the sense that they’re not sheer, apart from the pale pink which provides a subtle tint..i prefer it that way but some people might not! I was really happy to get these anyway because i’ve been into lip products lately and not i can play with the colours and see what suits me best 😀

I was also given a pack of pencil eye liners from the same brand, there were four in a pack and were all different colours!

From the swatches i took, they seemed good quality, i don’t think i’ll use the goldish one, but i could use the brown  one as an eyebrow pencil instead! This was a good present for me because i always use pencil eye liner and there are constantly running down so i can never have too many!

Finally, it’s not a beauty product but it is to do with beauty, i got an acrylic make up organizer which i was actually already looking into buying but im glad i was given one! I didn’t actually realise how much i needed this until i had it! haha it’s a life saver!Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset So these are a few of the bits i got for christmas i highly recommend the two palettes! Show me what you guys got! i want to know 😀

Until next time!

5 Makeup/Beauty Brands I’m Dying to Try!

5 days until Christmas?! Where has that time gone? Hope you’re all ready for Christmas and have no stress as it is a time for relaxing! I also hope you’re all enjoying your weekend!

So today I’m going do a list of 5 beauty brands I really want to try, and I’m pretty sure most of them are only available outside of the UK- sad face. Maybe one day I’ll go to the states and will be able to give them a try,who knows 🙂

1. Tarte, I’ve seen a lot of youtubers show these in hauls, the products look great and the packaging is so nice! I’d love one of their pallets!

2. NARS, I’m not actually sure if you can get this is the UK, but again so many people have talked about it on YouTube and id love to try some of their lip products!

3. Elf, I was going to order some elf stuff but decided not to to avoid exchange rates, however I’d love to try their brushes and also their cleansing products. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them!

4. Anastasia, omg I love pallets and I’ve seen some youtubers talk about the anastasia pallets (home made I think?) and I want one so bad, it would be a great product to have!

5. I’m not really sure if this counts as a brand but I’ve always always wanted to try Bath and Body Works products like their hand soaps and scented candles they look so pretty and are supposed to be really good!

So these are my top 5 brands out of the U.K that I am desperate to try! Check them out, if you’ve used any products by these brands then feel free to write a review below!
