Hi guys! I’ve uploaded an everyday makeup tutorial onto my channel, if you could give it a watch i’d greatly appreciate it!
Hi guys! I’ve uploaded an everyday makeup tutorial onto my channel, if you could give it a watch i’d greatly appreciate it!
So does anyone ever tell themselves that they’ll get something done and literally never get round to doing it? because that is pretty much what this haul is, a mixture of times when ive shopped and christmas presents all put into one massive haul because i simply put it off for too long.
don’t worry though, the last part of the JonBenet case will come soon.
My order from M.A.C was actually my first ever, i know right?! crazy. I actually spoke to an online MUA on their website, she was super helpful, i asked for product that are good for people with dry skin because i always struggle to find foundations that don’t show all your dry patches and she also recommended me a primer and moisturizer. I took the plunge and bought everything she recommended and i actually really love it all, however i feel like I’m a shade down from the one she suggested but that’s not the end of the world. So i got the Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 foundation in the shade NW15, the studio moisture cream and the Prep + Prime Skin base Visage. i think i need to order the fix+ next!
Then from BeautyBay I ordered some bits in the sale they had on, I picked up a Jeffree Star liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Leo’ because that’s my star sign and its also almost my perfect nude brown shade, i love it. I also picked up the RCMA no colour setting powder, if seen so many people rave about this so i really wanted to try it for myself. On the boring side i wanted to try a new eyeshadow primer because i usually always use my Makeup Revolution one, so i picked the wet n wild long-lasting eyeshadow primer. And finally i chose theBalm’s Anti Orange bronzer in the shade ‘Oliver’ and some ABH mini matte lipsticks, i actually love the bronzer its such a good shade for my skin and also isn’t crazy pigmented that it messes your makeup up, and the lipstick feel so nice on the lips, not drying at all.
Now, this week I took a little trip to Bluewater shopping centre in London for some retail therapy and i did manage to spoil myself. *THIS IS NOT A BRAGGING POST I AM SIMPLE SHARING THINGS THAT I HAVE BECAUSE I KNOW PEOPLE LIKE TO SEE THESE TYPES OF POST, INCLUDING MYSELF* I went into a LOT of shops and i mean a lot, my feet were so sore but it was worth it. They main thing i treated myself to was a Michael Kors bag, I’ve genuinely wanted one for so long so it felt good to be able to treat myself to it finally. PLUS they had a sale on so i got it a lot cheaper. The bag i chose was a smallish shoulder bag called ‘Selma’ in black. In boots i only picked up a few bits, a new lip plumper from soap and glory because mine was running low, i get the clear one, the Honey primer from NYX (tried this today and loved it) the NYX ‘Can’t Stop Wont Stop’ foundation (again, tried it today and loved it) and a pencil eyeliner from NYX.
I was SO excited when I found out Bluewater had a Too Faced shop, so of course i went in there, i wanted most of the shop but managed to contain myself and only purchased a few things; the Better Than Sex mascara, White Peach eye palette and a melted matte lipstick in ‘Evil Twin’, I cant wait to try them out. As much as i hate going into Lush because of how they always want to talk to you and i have bad anxiety, i really wanted to new bath and body bits so i went in and got two baths bombs; ‘Peachy’ and ‘Turtle Jelly’ and also the ‘Rose Jam’ shower gel and the shower scrub in ‘scrub scrub scrub’ which is a black scrub with charcoal etc in. Hopefully they do my skin wonders.
Victorias secret and their Pink store both had a 5 for £25 sale on their pants so i picked up some of those and i also found these jogger style lounge pants that were so incredibly soft that i HAD to try them. (see photo of gray and white trousers with rose on). I also went into new look to get a Teddy coat that i had been eyeing up for a while, i love it!
Last but not least, from the london trip, I went into paperchase. I have an obsession with buying notebooks to of course i picked up two and i also found some cool feminism badges and pins so picked those up as well.
Now finally for the christmas pressies, I was a little spoilt by various people around me, my boyfriend got me the Jeffree Star Liquid lipstick nudes 2 vault which i was SHOOK at, he also got me the beauty bay brushes, their Going Out palette and a graphics tablet! My mum then got me the Makeup Revolution gift box set which had so many goodies in, im in love, a mug, some smellies for the shower, MORE makeup brushes and the newest Soph X Makeup Revolution palette. I also got new GHDs from my boyfriends mum, i really did not expect to unwrap them and honestly almost cried!
SO that’s my big haul everyone, hope you all enjoyed it, let me know if you want reviews on anything!
P.S sorry it’s so long! I underestimated how much their was until i typed it up haha!
Hello everyone, hope everyone is doing well! Today I thought I’d do a little mini haul of these I’ve purchased recently that I really like, all of the products mentioned I either used before or used today before writing this post!
I’ve been on a bit of a makeup hype lately and actually have a M.A.C parcel on its way and a beauty bay one so I imagine there will be another review/haul point coming soon!
Ok lets start, first of all I want to talk about Beauty Bays own palettes that they’re released, I’ve been using Beauty Bay for quite a while now its such a website to find most of your makeup brands all in one place from Jeffree Star to ABH! I was SHOOK when I saw they were realising their own palettes, and honestly they’re so good, there’s 3 altogether ‘Evolve’, ‘Identity’ and ‘Origin’. They’re all very different from more natural colours, to going out, to bright and bold. But can we talk about the fact that you get 42 shades and they’re only £25?! Plus the pan size is huge!!! I also like the fact that they’ve created a grid system, so along the top you have numbers and down the side you have the areas on the eyes you’d put each colour (creases, liner, transition etc) so you can actually follow the columns down and create beautiful looks which is so handy if you struggle with matching colours together or for beginners.
Next are some fab finds I found in TKMaxx, much to my surprise! The ABH powder contour palette in light and the Tarte Tarteist ‘Pro Glow on the Go’ palette. I was so surprised to see these there because I always end up going on days where most of the good stuff has gone, but I’m so happy to have found these! They were both £19.99 when the ABH is usually £42 and Tarte is usually £36, that’s crazy! I used both of these today for the first time and I was impressed! I used the ABH palette for my contour and bronzer, they worked well for my skin tone however I wasn’t expecting the pigment to be so strong so I ended up applying too much…oops, I then used the Tarte palette for the highlight. It was quite a nice natural highlight, I think it looked really nice but those who like blinding highlighters won’t have appreciated this one as much. Even though I was impressed by both items I definitely would not have paid full price for them.
I picked up a Real Techniques Body Complexion Sponge because I’ve seen so many youtubers use it and thought it would make doing my foundation easier and it definitely did!. I picked pop a Mario Badescu facial spray from urban outfitters as I really like facial sprays and so many people have spoken about it, it’s now part of my daily routine I spray before I apply my makeup and after I’ve taken it off. It’s so refreshing. And lastly the Garnier Moisture bomb tissue mask, I’ve used this so many times now. I have quite dry skin especially in the winter, so these do my skin wonders and I definitely recommend to anyone else with dry skin!
So thats my mini hauls guys, i will be back with a review/ haul whenb my parcels arrive but in the mean time is there anything you want to read? Let me know!!
Hello my lovelies, hope everyone’s well! For today’s post I’ve decided to do a quick review on a product I’ve been using for a little while now.
Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, after testing out all kinds of affordable drug store spray and starting to become sceptical as to whether they actually work or not I spotted a sale on in a department store (John Lewis or house of Fraser, I can’t quite remember) so I thought why not? Boy am I GLAD I picked it up, honestly my makeup doesn’t move an inch even if I cry or sweat, and it stays just as vibrant as it was when I first put it on! Plus it makes my face feel fresh which I love. Honestly I can’t fault it, it’s 100% worth the money, I only got it for £16 I think and it’s usually £26-29 depending on where you purchase it. I would recommend this to anyone struggling to find a decent setting spray to stick with.
Overall 10/10 from me!
Sincerely, S x
Hello everybody! Hope you’re all well. So I’ve been on a couple of shopping trips and I’ve been gathering items and products up now so I decided to do a sort of collective haul. The majority is actually makeup but there’s a couple other bits from primark which aren’t that I’ll include at the end.
Let’s get started! So first up I was SO excited when I saw that E.l.f was actually in the Superdrug store because for some reason I thought it was only on the website, not sure why but I really wanted to try some of their products. I picked up the primer in the moisturising version (£7.50), the Lip Exfoliator in ‘Sweet Cherry’ (£4.50) (it’s smells amazing!), I also got the brow cream in ‘medium brown’ (£5.00) and the cream eyeliner in black (£4.50). I can’t wait to test these products out and if you want a review post on any of these products please let me know in the comments☺️
Next I noticed that Nip and Fab had a half price sale on and I’ve been really wanting to try their products but the prices always threw me off. Whilst they had the sale on I decided to pick up the powder contour palette in Light (£7.50, usually £15) Again, if you want a post of reviewing this then let me know!
I picked up a back up of the MUA kohl eyeliner pencil in black because it’s literally £1 and so pigmented, it’s something I use daily so having a back up comes in handy. I also picked up the new Prism Loose Powder Highlighter in ‘Oceanic Wonder’ and I swear when I opened it and some of it like puffed up it was SO pretty like a unicorn sneeze. Weird description, I know, but that’s the only way I can explain it.
I don’t really wear foundation but I thought I’d invest in one that quite a few people have spoken about, I picked up the L’Oréal True match foundation in 1.N Ivory because I have quite pale skin but natural undertones, I tried it today and it’s actually a really good match, it doesn’t feel dry on my skin which it good because I have dry skin anyways so I didn’t want anything too matte else all the patches show up. I really like this foundation, it’s not heavy either it’s very lightweight doesn’t feel cakey at all, I love it.
I am a sucker for the products and things they put by the checkouts and when I saw three baskets full of Models Own products for just £1.12 each (I know right?!) I had to have a look and pick some bits up! I mean, at that price it doesn’t even matter if they turn out to be a bit rubbish. I picked up the Tea Tree Healer Concealer in the shade 02 which is fairly light but not too light. I picked up a ‘Lix’ which is a Liquid matte Lipstick, in the shade ‘Raspberry Mojito’ which is quite a nice purple, a ‘Luxestick’ matte lipstick in the shade ‘Ciao’ which is a lovely pinky/red shade and finally a Sculpt and Glow highlighter stick in the shade Incandescent 03. It’s a purple toned highlighter but not so purple that, that’s all you see. I’m really happy with these little bargains and can’t wait to try them out to see if they’re actually really good or if they’re worth the price.
This post is much longer than I thought it was going to be and part of me wishes I did YouTube vids so that you guys could listen rather than having to read all of these but I just don’t have the confidence for that even though I’ve wanted to start a channel for SO long now.
Anyways the next brand I went to was Freedom makeup. Freedom is by the same company as Makeup Revolution called Tam Beauty and both brands are SO good and super affordable. I think I own enough Makeup Revolution to own a pop up shop but that’s besides the point! I picked up one of their empty palettes (£3) because they were also doing half price on some items so I grabbed a load of the eyeshadow, contour and highlight pans to go with it. I got 1 contour pan in shade number 2 which is a cool toned contour shade perfect for paler people like me. I got a pack of 3 highlight pans in the shades ‘Side Chick’, ‘Oh Boy’ and ‘Trust Issues’ (LOVE the names btw) they’re the more golden toned highlighters, the other pack was more pink toned. I also picked up a pack of 5 eyeshadow pans in the shades ‘Delicious’, ‘Sugar Rush’, ‘Icing’, ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘So sweet’. This pack was quite a neutral set with two pale shades for setting your primer then three browns for transitions and darkening the crease for a natural look. There were singles eyeshadow pans too so I picked up two in the shade 9 (matte) and shade 8 (shimmer). I needed some new brow products so I picked up their duo brow powder in medium brown, usually I would’ve picked up the shade Taupe but I think they’ve discontinued that shade so I mix the two shades in this one instead.
You can never have too many brushes right? So I picked up the Real Techniques luxury edition Ultimate eyes brush set and honestly I couldn’t believe it was only £7.49!! It comes with 5 brushes in total, including 2 exclusives brushes which are the essential crease brush and the eye liner brush, and also exclusive to this set is the mirror to go case which is going to come in handy when I go away in a few weeks. But can you believe the whole set was only £7.49?! I can’t!! My boyfriend also bought me the Powder Brush and the Sponge from the Brush Crush collection but I’m not allowed them until Valentine’s Day because they’re gifts😬 but I’m so excited to use them😍.
That’s the Superdrug part over and done with FINALLY, now a few bits I got from primark. First of all I picked up a oversized makeup bag so I can put all my beauty bits in one place when I go away, I love the pattern and the colours of it and this was just £5. I also picked up a plastic container for my cotton pads I used for makeup removing, I was honestly to excited when I saw it (sad I know) because I was tired of having a massive pack of cotton pads lying around and now they’re tidy and look nice on my vanity. Then I picked up three lip products because I was curious about the quality of Primark makeup and some of it was on sale so I just grabbed a few to try out. I picked up a Satin finish liquid lipstick (£1) in the shade ‘Selfie’ which is a cool toned purple shade, I then picked up a metallic liquid lipstick lip kit (£1) in the shade ‘Dynamite’, a deep purply red shade, and a Matte liquid lipstick (£3) in the shade ‘Flutter’, a cool toned nude pink. And finally I picked up some fluffy socks because when I’m at home I always have cold feet and these are my go to so I always pick some up as they’re so affordable.
So that’s all for this post, I hope you guys enjoy reading it. Let me know in the comments if you want swatches or reviews of anything in the post!
Sincerely, S x
Hey guys! Hope you’re all doing well and having a good start to the year. This post is very exciting to me because its a review on the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eyeliners. I was SO excited when i found out i was going to be receiving these in the post it was like Christmas all over again!
Marc Jacobs Highliners retail and £20 each but honestly i think they’re so worth it. There’s 12 shades all together, all amazing looking shades. I received the colours ‘Earthquake’ and ‘Pink of Me’ and both are so pigmented, Earthquake is slightly more pigmented as you can expect from the darker of the shades but both are still very pigmented. I am honestly in LOVE with these eyeliners, the formula is so creamy, they just glide on and they’re so long wearing once they set. You could literally cry all day and walk through a rainstorm and they wouldn’t budge and add such a nice pop off colour to your looks.
The only downside to these is that they’re twist up pencils so you cant really sharpen them, meaning that it’s harder to produce more precise looks like winged eyeliner when the tip becomes less pointed. Other than that pointer, these guys are flawless in my eyes and i am so so grateful and happy i got to try them out.
*Disclosure, I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes*
Hope you guys enjoyed this post and I’ll be back again soon!
Sincerely, S x
Hey there my lovelies!
Today’s post is an un-boxing of my first ever Glossybox! I was very excited to receive it, i love a good surprise especially when its beauty related! For those of you who don’t know what glossybox is, it’s a subscription box that is £10 per month plus p&p. You can sign up for a monthly plan, a 3 month plan, 6 month plan or a 12 month plan. Which every subscription you chose, you’ll receive a box each month with 5 health and beauty items that have a total value that’s more than the cost of the box.
What did i get in my box?
First thing i saw were some ‘Look so natural’ lashes by the brand Kiss, these retail at £4.95 and, for those who wear them, would be a great treat to receive in the box. I, however, probably won’t be wearing them and will likely be giving them away in a giveaway at some point!
The next thing i pulled out was a trio pack of Quattro for women raspberry rain disposable razors. These retail at £5.69 for 3. They have 4 blades and a pivoting head to make shaving easier, if i’m honest i was actually really happy to see these as funny as it sounds. Every girl needs some decent razors right?
Next is an eye shadow pencil by De Bruyere Beaute, in the shade Bubble 07 (what a great name?!) It’s a khaki grey shade, super pigmented and shiny with a creamy formula. This product retails at 15 euros, which is about £12.73. I can’t wait to create a look with this.
Fourth item in the box is a Tapered blending brush by Ruby professional, retailing at 8 euros which is £6.80 roughly, this is a super affordable brush and well…you can’t have too many brushes can you? From touch this feel like a really good quality brush, its soft but firm which is good for blending. You could also use this brush for nose contouring, it’ll definitely come in handy.
Finally, the last item was the most expensive one and i’m quite excited to try out and review. It’s a Bio Cellulose facial treatment mask by 111skin, is retails at £20 so to get this in my box was really exciting. From what i can gather its a sheet that you put on you face that hydrates and locks in moisture to your skin. I can’ wait to try this one out!
So that’s what i got from my November box, considering it was my first one i’m very pleased with everything i got and will most likely be continuing the subscription. If you’d like to subscribe simply go here. You can unsubscribe at any point!
Heres what the card in my box said about next months…
“December Sneakpeek: Next month, our gift to you is the chance to pick your own box. Our beauty elves have been busy creating two seasonal makeup looks for you to choose from and both are as chic as each other. Keep an eye on your inbox for more details.“
Hope you liked the post!
Until next time,
Simcerely, S x
